High-performance, low effort – convenience for pond owners!
A regulated, high-quality filter system spares every pond owner a lot of irritation. You can do all you want in terms of cleaning the pond – however only the implementation of a filter can sustainably influence the quality of the water. Optically clear water is not necessarily healthy water. A pH test provides precise indications in this regard. The ideal value is 7.8 pH. Filters do not only remove pollutants. They also ensure the removal of organic compounds that, in heavily populated ponds, can lead to excessive nitrite values which can make life difficult for your fish. The OASE complete filter systems make this really quite simple. We have chosen three of our best products as components for these systems, which have proven themselves in all pond sizes: the Aquamax high-performance filter and pond pump with long service life and low power consumption; the Biotec filter series, mechanical-biological flow-through, multi-chamber filter with pollution level indicator and temperature indicator; and the Bitron UVC clarifier, our system for preliminary pond clarifying. You can be sure with these systems.

Biotec

The Biotec filter range is an important component in the BIOsys system!
In this regard, we are dealing generally with flow-through filters and multi-chamber filters that filter pollutants out of the pond water not just mechanically, but primarily through biological processes. The colonisation of special microorganisms is a proven method for breaking down harmful substances. Biotec has been scientifically developed and tested, and when properly used in continuous implementation, ensures crystal clear water and optimum biological relationships.
  • Biotec 5 and Biotec 10 have established themselves for clean and clear ponds. Thousands of enthusiastic pond owners are now enjoying crystal clear water, thanks to BIOTEC and the BIOsys systems!
  • The filters consist of UV resistant plastic. A pollution level indicator and a temperature indicator are integrated in the lid (not Biotec 30).
  • The multi-chamber system ensures simple cleaning, which however is no longer required if the filter has been correctly inserted. The microorganisms are responsible for the self-cleaning of the filter material.
  • The Biotec 30 has been designed for large ponds, and particularly for ponds with koi stock. The Biotec 30 has a sludge drain for the removal of solids. The special filter surfaces enable rapid break-down of large quantities of nutrients. Thus, OASE has again been successful with yet another biological innovation.
  • The Biotec 30 multi-zone filter has a new type of filter mat with varying thicknesses, in addition to the brush chamber. This accelerates filtration of the coarse pollutant particles and helps the microorganisms in the rear part of the filter to do their work carefully and effectively.
  • Biotec 30 has been tested for ponds up to 130,000 litres. Connection with the Bitron 15 to 110C clarifiers and the Aquamax pump range needs no additional parts.

Biotec with Screenex

With Biotec 12, 18 and 36 OASE have once again set new standards for filter implementation in garden ponds. Simple operation, fast, clean maintenance, and an outstanding filtration result are the unique features of the new Biotec filters.

INNOVATION MADE BY OASE – PATENT PENDING!

Mechanical cleaning
A specially designed sieve, the “Screenex”, retains all debris particles up to a size of 500 micron, which are pumped into the filter. After the water flows back through a special mat where it is enriched with oxygen, it falls into the chamber below, flows through the filter zones, and then reaches the next filter chamber (“Individual chamber”).

Biological Cleaning
The nitrosomonas and nitrobacter bacteria present in the pond water settle and multiply in the oxygen rich filter zones (blue sponges) and in the oxygen poorer zones (red sponges and individual chamber). In various biological processes they convert toxic ammonium/ammonia via nitrite to nitrate and finally to gaseous nitrogen. The individual chamber situated just in front of the outlet, is called “individual” because every consumer has the choice of which filter material to insert (i.e. OASE Phosless). The chamber is equipped as standard with Zeolite.

Long service life

With the Screenex filter process happening prior to the actual filtration, so many coarse particles are removed from circulation that only lightly polluted water actually reaches the filter sponges. This makes a longer than average cleaning interval possible.
